The San Marcos Thrift Shop is a second-hand store where we raise money for our Transitional Shelter and specific assistance. (At our Transitional Shelter we feed the hungry and offer safe, comfortable temporary housing for families. Our specific assistance program helps Hays County families pay their rent, utilities, and other necessities.) We sell donated goods at the store as well as new merchandise we buy from liquidators.
We offer clothing vouchers for those who cannot afford clothing. With each clothing voucher an individual can pick out up to three outfits per person every 6 months.

We accept gently used clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, furniture, appliances, electronics, books, CD's, linens, dishware, artwork, toys, kid’s items, knick-knacks and just about everything there is!!! You can drop off donations anytime we're open, from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. Just pull up to the back by the Cheatham Warehouse entrance and a volunteer will help you unload your donations. Donations receipts are available at the store also.
We are in need of any gently used children items you have. Clothing, shoes for those kiddos that are going back to school. You know how you felt when your first day of school and you had nice clothing on.!! Come on folks you know who you are that have nice clothing in those closets time to purge and make other kids happy and keep their self-esteem up there!!
Please help us in keeping our homeless clients warm in the winter. We allow each homeless person to receive a jacket and blankets every year at no cost. Please help us keep this tradition alive and donate any spare blankets God Bless for all you do for us!!
