Housing Stability Program

Southside Community Center has several housing programs ranging from emergency assistance to helping unhoused neighbors move into permanent, stable housing. Applications for housing programs can be found here.

  • Emergency Assistance

    Qualifying applicants in this program receive a one-time payment for rent or utilities. Emergency Assistance is available to residents of Hays County with bills under $800.

  • Eviction Prevention

    Qualifying applicants receive one-three months of financial and case management support. Eviction Prevention is available to San Marcos residents with bills ranging from $500-$3000.

  • Transitional Housing

    Qualifying applicants receive 30-60 days of transitional shelter and weekly case management. After no more than 60 days, shelter residents will be assisted in moving into permanent housing.

Sunrise Village

Southside also owns and operates Sunrise Village, an affordable senior living community in San Marcos, offering the comfort of a home with the convenience of apartment living. All units are single-story and designed to support independent living.
